three types of membership available:
Ordinary - This is open to present and past Justices of the
Peace. Please note that newly appointed JPs will receive an application
form automatically from the Association. Ordinary members recieve 10 issues of the Magistrate magazine per year, have access to the members' section of the website, the online discussion forum and can attend and vote at the AGM and local branch meetings. Annual subscription is currently £32.50.
Associate - This membership is open to certain categories of
people who are closely associated with the administration of justice eg
clerks of the court, probation officers etc. Associate members recieve 10 issues of the Magistrate magazine per year, have access to the members' section of the website, the online discussion forum and can attend but not vote at the AGM and local branch meetings. Annual subscription is currently £32.50.
Subscriber - This membership is available to any person who
does not fall within the above categories and entitles the subscriber to receive
the Magistrate magazine. Annual subscription is £30. For agency and overseas subscription rates please contact the membership department on 0207 388 5558.
Complete the application form and send to: 28 Fitzroy Square, London, W1T 6DD. Ordinary members will be sent a new member pack within two weeks of the Association recieving their application.
Please state on the application form if you are applying for Associate or Subscriber membership.
