Response to the Transforming Our Justice System vision paper

The MA has produced a response to the relevant proposals set out in the Transforming Our Justice System published on 15 September. The vision paper was jointly issued by the Lord Chancellor, the Lord Chief Justice and the Senior President of Tribunals (pictured). We are consulting our members on the paper. The Ministry of Justice are consulting on some of the proposals in the paper, including:

  • How to respond to the proportion of the population who are unable or unwilling to engage with the online system;
  • The suggested automated system dealing with some low-level, victimless crimes via online guilty plea leading to a set sanction.

The MA will be drafting a response to these consultation questions. If you have any additional comments, contact Jo Easton, Director of Policy and Research.
