Download the recruitment pack Media and communications officer (full-time, 6 months with potential for permanency) £32,600 Closing date: 5pm 25 October 2021 As part of our investment in improving our communications at the MA, we're recruiting to this full-time post. It is initially for a period of six months while we recruit our new head of marketing and communicaitons - with the potential for it to be extended either temporarily of permanently. If you are an experienced media/ communications professional, with a proven track record of working in or with the media we want to hear from you. You'll be picking up immediately the running of our media relationships, working closely with the chair and chief executive in proactive and reactive media work, as well as working with the head of marketing and communications on developing future plans. On any day you might be: Responding to media calls for background information, quotes or interviews Drafting quotes and press releases for the chair and chief executive, and liaising with our policy committee chairs and others in the criminal justice system to ensure accuracy Writing copy and uploading to our website, or sending out via our e-news bulletin Writing articles for placement in external publications Because of our small staff team size you'll have opportunities to develop your skills in a way unlikely to be possible in larger organisations. Download the recruitment pack Training, learning and development officer (full-time, permanent) £32,600 Closing date: 5pm 1 November 2021 We are seeking an exceptional learning and development professional at a time of change and renewal at the Magistrates' Association. The role gives the successful applicant an opportunity to help shape the training and development of magistrates, working alongside our experienced and knowledgeable members and volunteers. You'll be joining us just as we being the implementation of our LMS - our Learning and Development Hub for members. This is a major new investment for the Association, as we seek to better present and curate our learning and development materials. You'll be taking the lead part in designing and implmenting this exciting new member benefit. In any day you might be involved in: Working with our expert Training, Learning and Development Committee to develop learning and development materials for our members Coordinating our planned new Learning and Development Hub, which will host all our learning and development materials on our website from early next year Supporting our branches in the delivery of their learning and development programmes for their members Working in partnership with government bodies to comment on training proposals for magistrates You'll be joining us at an exciting time, with our member offer having a renewed focus on our work in developing our members through learning and development.
