National chair of the Magistrates’ Association, Bev Higgs, said:
“On behalf of the officers, members and staff of the MA, I have written to His Majesty The King to express our sincere condolences. We have been fortunate to have Her Majesty as our Patron for almost seven decades of loyalty and duty.
“As a mark of respect to the Queen’s passing, we will be pausing all but essential activity during the period of mourning.”
