Work at the MA

Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser

The Magistrates Association is seeking a creative fundraising professional to lead on generating income from trusts, foundations and statutory bodies. This varied role includes research, proposal writing, cultivation and stewardship, and reporting.

The Magistrates Association is the independent membership body for the magistracy. We work to promote the sound administration of the law, including by informing the public about the courts and the role of magistrates and contributing to the development and delivery of reforms to the magistracy and the broader justice system. With over 14,000 members, we are the independent voice of the magistracy.

At a pivotal time for the MA and the magistracy, the successful candidate will explore funding opportunities; develop a range of strong cases for support for MA activities; create persuasive funding applications to charitable trusts and foundations to secure both core and project income; and keep funders informed of the positive impact of their support.

This is an excellent opportunity for an imaginative, creative self-starter to take ownership of a new role and grow our portfolio of trusts and foundations. Flexible working and home working options are available.

The salary for this post is £30,750 per annum (pro rata for 14 hours per week) and the closing date for applications is midnight on Saturday 16 February 2019.
