Family Justice Council annual debate The FJC's 13th annual debate 08 November 2019 The Family Justice Council (FJC) are holding their 13th annual debate on 4 December 2019. The motion for the debate this year is Do separating parents need the family court?. Chaired by the President of the Family Division Sir Andrew McFarlane, the panel speakers are: Mavis Maclean, Senior Research Fellow in Law at the University of Oxford Jane Robey, Chief Executive of National Family Mediation Olive Craig, Senior Legal Officer at Rights of Women Heather MacGregor, Deputy District Judge, Central Family Court The FJC are looking to have a cross-section of professionals from across the family justice system at the debate. Anyone wishing to apply to attend should contact the FJC by email, providing their name, area of expertise and contact details. The deadline to apply is close of business on 21 November 2019. Successful applicants will be informed by 26 November. Please note that this is not an MA event and expenses are not payable.
