Bias in the magistracy explored

Join us on Wednesday, 30th October at 17:30 for a roundtable discussion on bias in the magistracy, focusing on the experiences of Black, Asian, and minority ethnic magistrates. Chaired by Jacqui Macdonald-Davis as part of Black History Month, with speakers DJ(MC) Tan Ikram CBE and Professor Heidi Mirza of UCL, we will explore findings from a 2022 survey by our Black, Asian and minority ethnic network, provide a platform for sharing experiences, and discuss the available resources and tips magistrates can use to address racism, microaggressions, and unconscious bias.
