100 years of female magistrates covered in the media MA in the media 16 January 2020 Before Christmas, an episode of BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour focused on the first 100 years of women in law, to mark 100 years since The Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act became law. This included a discussion of women in the magistracy, featuring one of the Magistrates Association’s trustees, Jacqui MacDonald-Davis (pictured left), and former magistrate and author Katherine McMahon (pictured right).
